AMERICAN IDOL NOTES
American Idol cut one unlucky singer from last night's Top 10. Ryan Seacrest started the night off with a little more drama than usual, walking the line of hopefuls and asking thoughts on who would be sent home. After the group sing, they got down to the Bottom Three -- Jason Castro, Chikezie Eze and Syesha Mercado. Mercado last got high marks for "If I Were Your Woman," while Castro got criticism for his Spanish-style to take on "Fragile" and Chikezie got slammed by Simon Cowell for his smooth version of "If Only for One Night." America agreed with Simon and sent Chikezie packing.

We talked with Constantine Maroulis, former contestant (Season 4) and now co-host of American Idol Extra... he said America made the right call... Chikezie was never a contender and doesn't have the star quality some of the others have... He also said he's a fan of the "mosh pit" at the front of the stage, and expects either David Archuleta or David Cook to win.

ALISSA CARLSON
A buddy of mine at the radio station came across the bio of Meteorologist Alissa Carlson on the KGET website yesterday. Under the comments section, a "loving" fan left the following message...

Martymar63 - 3/19/2008

"Are you single/available if so, are you looking? I'm sorry for being so forward Alissa, but I can't help feeling like a school boy with a crush when I watch you give the weather."...

He then leaves his email address...

So we asked... what is this guy thinking? I'm no ladies man, but I don't think this is the best way to get her attention... We then got your opinion...

You said first, he should find out for sure if she's single. If so, send her a card at the station. Someone even suggested he should go down there and say hello. I'm not sure about that... I can see security being called pretty quickly...

THE GLO PILLOW
The Glo Pillow is an alternative to the traditional alarm clock. The pillow uses an LED fabric substrate below the surface to wake the user using light. This substrate also functions as a display, showing the time on the pillows surface using the grid of LEDs below.40 minutes before the pre-set alarm time the pillow begins to glow and gently brings the user out of sleep. This natural waking process helps to set the circadian rhythm or "body clock" and results in more healthy sleep/wake patterns.TIME magazine name the glo Pillow one of the best inventions of 2007.
