JULY 24, 2008

YOU KNOW YOU'RE A GROWN-UP WHEN...
.....rather than criticizing an old friend for her quirks, you realize you've grown to love her for them
......you don't wait for a man to buy you a bottle of your favorite expensive perfume.
.....the phone rings at midnight and your first thought is NOT that it must be a bunch of your girlfriends calling to ask you to go out and party
......getting rid of stuff feels every bit as good as getting new stuff (or better!)
......you've had enough life experiences to realize that what goes around really does come around
......you fume silently about all the screaming babies on the airplane, then remember that one of them is yours
....you fully appreciate your ability to have yourself a good laugh - as well as a good cry
......on the rare occasions you allow yourself to eat dessert first, there's no guilt, only pleasure!

I read this list yesterday in a magazine at my mother's. I thought most of them to be very true and wanted to share!

HELP OUR TROOPS CALL HOME!!
The Cell Phones for Soldiers program was started in April 2004 by 13-year-old Brittany Bergquist and her 12-year-old brother Robbie of Norwell, Massachusetts.

Robbie and Brittany's goal is to help our soldiers serving overseas call home. They hope to provide as many soldiers as possible with prepaid calling cards. Through generous donations and the recycling of used cell phones, Robbie and Brittany have already distributed thousands of calling cards to soldiers around the globe.
