WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE
If you're hitting up Starbucks for a pick-me-up at least once a day, you're blowing about a grand a year on coffee. But here's a way to save some money and get the buzz for free... walk into Starbucks, take a whiff, and leave.

That's right... just smelling coffee can actually wake you up the same way drinking it does, according to scientists from South Korea.

Normally you down a cup of joe because the caffeine makes you feel less like a zombie. But scientists found that antioxidant compounds in the aroma of coffee also gives you pep.

They did an experiment with two groups of sleep-deprived rats... and the group that was allowed to smell coffee became less stressed and more awake than the group that didn't smell coffee.

If the same holds true for humans, you might be able to experience the effects of a cup of coffee without ever drinking one.

ARE YOU ANNOYING A CO-WORKER?
You know how the jerk in the next cubicle is always blowing his nose really loudly? Or how the office secretary clips her toenails at her desk? It probably drives you nuts. And apparently... you're not alone.

According to a recent survey, ONE in FIVE employees say their co-workers have at least ONE annoying habit that drives them crazy.

So what sort of stuff can make your co-workers hate YOU?

1) Talking too much while you're supposed to be working.

2) Gossiping about other people in the office, or eavesdropping on a co-worker's conversation.

3) Eating smelly food... or neglecting to bathe, so YOU actually stink.

4) Slurping your coffee.

5) Passing your work off to other people.

6) Constantly complaining.

YOU THINK OUR GAS IS EXPENSIVE?
You're probably tired of paying $4.60 for a gallon of gas... so how far are you willing to go for cheap gas? How about Mexico?

That's what people in San Diego, and even as far north as L.A. are doing. They're taking the drive down to Tijuana, Mexico, to get gas for as low as $2.50.

Even though it burns two gallons of gas waiting in traffic for two hours to get back into the U.S., many drivers say it's worth going out of their way to get half-price gas.

But if you think you're paying a lot for gas... try living in countries where gas costs twice as much.

Out of a survey of 155 countries, gas prices in the U.S. ranked 108th. That means 107 other countries are paying MORE for gas.
