WHAT DO THEY REALLY MAKE?
Have you noticed it's not what you make -- but what you do? Meaning if your job sounds impressive, people think you make a lot of money. Let's say you work in TV, for instance ... People's eyes will widen, saying, "Really?" But little do they know that unless you're WAY high up on the TV ladder, you're making as much as someone who answers phones. A garbage man makes more than a lot of people who work in TV. But that doesn't get the eyes of other people quite as big.

Glamour found out what some other people are making ...
Jewelry designer: $30,000
Third grade teacher: $44,000
Director of a day-care center: $35,000 (notice it's LESS than the 3rd grade teacher?)
Research scientist: $57,000
Marine Corps sergeant: $26,000
Equine veterinarian: $57,000
Physical therapist: $80,000
Recovery room nurse: $65,000
PR representative: $70,000
Cocktail waitress/bartender: $26,000 (but the fun? Priceless!)
Owner of a chain of boutiques: $500,000
Salaries vary depending on location.

SOMEONE'S READING...
A new survey found that 41% of large companies with over 20,000 employees have a staff of people whose sole job is to read the e-mails you send from work. The survey also found that...

11% of companies have busted employees for improper use of blogs and message boards in the last year.

13% have disciplined employees for using social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace.

And 14% of large companies reprimanded employees from using media sharing sites like Limewire in the last year.
