TOYS FOR TOTS
Help a child in need have a merrier Christmas... drop off a new, unwrapped toy on Sunday between 10 AM-4 PM at the Wal-Mart on Rosedale Highway... Don't want to fight for a parking spot? No problem... drive up to the booth and I'll personally come pick up your donation!

CHRISTMAS PARADES
The Christmas Parade season kicks off tomorrow...

Lamont
When: 10 a.m. Saturday
Where: The route will travel along Main Street.
Details: The theme is "Santa's Workshop" and the event features marching bands, floats and jolly old Saint Nick.

Frazier Park
When: 4:30 p.m. Saturday
Where: The parade runs along Mount Pinos Way, from Frazier Park School, on San Carlos Trail, to Frazier Park Pharmacy.
Details: This year's theme is "Festival of Lights." The parade is in its 23rd year.

California City
When: 5 p.m. Saturday
Where: City Hall, 21000 Hacienda Blvd.
Details: The pine tree at City Hall will be illuminated, and choirs will perform. Girl Scouts will sell cookies and hot chocolate.

Tehachapi
When: 5:30 p.m. Saturday
Where: The route is along F Street, starting at Mulberry Street.
Details: The theme is "Rockin' 'Round the Christmas Tree." A tree lighting immediately follows the parade at the Veterans' Hall on F Street. The Christmas Peddler's Faire will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Tehachapi Arts Center, 106 S. Mojave St.

Rosamond
When: 6 p.m. Saturday
Where: The parade starts on Diamond Street.
Details: The 12th annual Parade of Lights offers the community the chance to kick off the holiday season.
