BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE
97.7 The Breeze, Wal-Mart, and Jesus Shack are holding our 2nd Annual Back To School Supply Drive tomorrow at the Rosedale Wal-Mart from 10 AM-4 PM.Especially if you have kids, you know Back To School Day is a little over a week away, and imagine that some kids won't even be going to school with pens, paper, and notebooks... things maybe we take for granted.

So... here's where you can help... We'll take school supplies of any kind tomorrow at Wal-Mart... Don't get out of your car if you're in a hurry, just drive up and we'll unload the supplies if you need us to!

WE ESPECIALLY NEED NOTEBOOK PAPER, FOLDERS, PENCIL SHARPENERS AND ERASERS... but binders, backpacks, calculators, pens... we'll take it all! Or, drop off a cash donation, we'll give you a receipt, and we'll go inside and shop for you.Think about it... if you spend $1 and can get two to three packs of notebook paper, and we can get 200 or so people to do that, we'll help almost 500 children with supplies they need...

Remember, 10 AM-4 PM tomorrow at the Rosedale Wal-Mart... I'll be there from 2 PM-4 PM if you want to say hello!

NEED TO GET THAT JOB? MAKE SURE TO SAY THANKS!
Good news and bad news here. The good news: Almost nine out of 10 executives in this country say that you can help your chances after a job interview if you send them a thank-you note.

The bad news: Half of us are too lazy to take the two minutes to send that note.

In a new survey by Accountemps, 88% of executives say that a thank-you note can really help a candidate's chances. But 49% of people say they never bother to send one. Five years ago, only 39% of people sent thank-you notes after their interviews.

When you're sending one, 52% of executives say they want to receive a hand-written note... which means you've got to mail it... 44% say that sending an e-mail thank-you is totally fine... and 3% say they like to get BOTH.

TV NEWS...
Good news! Robin Roberts, who underwent breast cancer surgery last Friday, is due back at Good Morning America on Monday.

TNT's Holly Hunter series Saving Grace has received a full-season order. Meanwhile, the U-S-A Network has ordered a second season of Burn Notice.

IS YOUR BOSS FUNNY?
Look. We know you have to sit there and laugh at your boss' jokes. But, please, just because your career depends on you laughing at him, DON'T become brainwashed to the point where you think he's actually FUNNY.

According to a survey by the staffing company Robert Half International, 87% of workers... or almost nine out of 10... say they think their boss is funny. 97% say it's very or somewhat important for managers to have a sense of humor.
