AMERICAN IDOL NOTES
The Top 10 guys returned to action last night, and while it was an improvement from the week before, I think a lot of America is asking how it's possible that after 100,000 contestants who auditioned around the country, we got stuck with this crop of singers. Clearly, they were overrated heading into this round of the competition.
In any case, there were some bright spots.
The best? I'll give a slight edge to Chris Richardson (who I think is a dark horse in this whole thing) as he sang Jason Mraz's "Geek In The Pink". He nailed it, and the judges thought so too. I also think Sundance Head really improved from last week-- he sang "Mustang Sally".
The "not so good"? Sanjaya Malakar struggled again, and if it weren't for his devoted fan base, I'd be sure he was going home this week. Brandon Rogers also struggled, but I don't think he'll be going home either.
According to Dial Idol, though, I could be wrong. Brandon Rogers and Nick Pedro were the two with the lowest votes.
Mark your calendars... Five For Fighting will be performing at the Majestic Fox Theater on April 17th! They'll perform all their big hits including "Superman (It's Not Easy)", "100 Years", and "The Riddle".
Tickets go on sale THIS SATURDAY at 10 AM at all Vallitix outlets. You can also charge by phone (322-5200) or log on to www.vallitix.com.
HOW DO YOU SLEEP? IT MAY SAY SOMETHING ABOUT YOU!
*CURLING UP LIKE A FETUS. You're tough on the outside but sensitive at heart. You're initially shy when you meet someone, but quickly relax. This is the most common sleeping position. . . 41% of people sleep like a fetus; two-thirds of those are women.
*ON YOUR SIDE, BOTH ARMS AT YOUR SIDES, LIKE A LOG. You're easygoing and social. . . you like being part of the in crowd, and you trust strangers. But. . . you can be too trusting. . . and gullible.
*ON YOUR SIDE WITH BOTH ARMS OUT FRONT. You have an open nature, but you can be suspicious and cynical. You're slow to make up your mind. . . but once you make a decision, you fight for it stubbornly.
*ON YOUR BACK WITH ARMS AT YOUR SIDES. You're quiet and reserved. You don't like people to make a big deal about you. . . but you set high standards for yourself and for others.
*FACE DOWN, HANDS AROUND THE PILLOW, HEAD TO THE SIDE. You're talkative and brash. . . but, underneath, you're thin-skinned and don't like criticism or extreme situations.
*ON YOUR BACK WITH ARMS UP AROUND THE PILLOW. You're a good friend, because you always listen to other people and offer up help when they need it. You also don't like to be the center of attention.
Some people have way too much time on their hands... You know the Timmy Tutone song "867-5309", right? Well, this guy checked what the number actually belongs to in EVERY AREA CODE. Wow. See his results here.
