AMERICAN IDOL NOTES
The Top 10 guys returned to action last night, and while it was an improvement from the week before, I think a lot of America is asking how it's possible that after 100,000 contestants who auditioned around the country, we got stuck with this crop of singers. Clearly, they were overrated heading into this round of the competition.
In any case, there were some bright spots.
The best? I'll give a slight edge to Chris Richardson (who I think is a dark horse in this whole thing) as he sang Jason Mraz's "Geek In The Pink". He nailed it, and the judges thought so too. I also think Sundance Head really improved from last week-- he sang "Mustang Sally".
The "not so good"? Sanjaya Malakar struggled again, and if it weren't for his devoted fan base, I'd be sure he was going home this week. Brandon Rogers also struggled, but I don't think he'll be going home either.
According to Dial Idol, though, I could be wrong. Brandon Rogers and Nick Pedro were the two with the lowest votes.
