OSCAR RECAP...
Well, it wasn't the most eventful of Oscars, but there were a few highlights...

*How good were Will Ferrell, Jack Black, and John C. Reilly singing about how comedic blockbusters never win Oscars?

*Will Smith's son Jaden and nominee Abigail Breslin were cute as presenters of some early awards, especially when Jaden was going to skip the announcement of the winners!

*And mark it down... Jerry Seinfeld should host next year's Oscars! His rant about movie theaters and the trash patrons leave behind was great!

Most of our predictions were spot on... but we never would have guessed Alan Arkin's big win for Supporting Actor, and The Departed beat out Little Miss Sunshine.

By the way, was it just me, or were the acrobats doing the shadow sculptures just BIZARRE!

ONLY 10% OF TEENAGERS WEAR A WATCH EVERY DAY
It looks like WRISTWATCHES may be the next thing that this current generation of teenagers kills off. . . now that they've already dealt death blows to printed newspapers and good manners (we kid, we kid).

According to a study by the investment bank Piper Jaffray & Co., about two-thirds of teenagers NEVER wear a watch. . . and only 10% wear one every day. The main reason: They all carry iPods or cell phones, and use the clocks on those to tell time.

Americans spent $5.9 BILLION on watches in 2006. . . that's down 17% from 2001.

ARE YOU A FAN OF STUDIO 60 ON THE SUNSET STRIP?
If you are, you better not watch The Black Donelleys on NBC starting tonight. Word from an NBC Insider is that if Donelleys does better or about the same as Studio, we'll never see another episode of Studio 60. They would have canceled the show a long time ago, but a clause in the contract of the show's creator would have made it just as expensive to cancel it than to keep it going! If Donelleys tanks, the network will consider bringing back Studio 60 later this season.

THIS AND THAT...
Congratulations to Elena Gonzales... she won a pair of tickets to The Wiggles this morning by finishing the lyrics to "Fruit Salad". We'll play another edition of "Finish The Wiggly Line" tomorrow!

And nominations for the Mom's Choice Awards are due WEDNESDAY by 5 PM. Thursday morning at 6:40, we'll announce the finalists and open up the voting for the winners!
