CMN BOUNCE-A-THON
Could your kids be let loose in Pump It Up and jump, and jump, and jump for hours and hours! Well, this event is perfect for them, and will help raise money for a great cause.

September 13, 15, and 16, we'll be opening the doors at Pump It Up for kids of all ages to jump and play on the inflatables for as many hours as they like... while earning money for the Children's Miracle Network. Participants will take pledges for every hour they bounce, and then come in to jump the day away!

Whether they can raise $20 or $200, we want everyone to take part. Every penny counts, and it all stays in Kern County to help the children at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. Got questions? Go to www.977thebreeze.com or call (661) 393-1900.

OLYMPIC SPORTS THAT SHOULD BE REMOVED
A buddy of mine and I were in the office Friday and discussed the Olympic sports that should not be allowed. There are three...

First and foremost, GET POWER WALKING OUT OF THE OLYMPICS. I power-walk every day... when I'm trying to beat someone to the counter at a fast food restaurant, when I'm trying to get to the fridge faster than my wife to open the last soda, and when they open the doors at an all-you-can-eat buffet. (Is it weird that all my examples involve food?)

Second, lose the Trampoline. That's not a sport. Bouncing on a trampoline?

Third, table tennis. It's ping pong. Nothing more, nothing less.

GREATEST THING ABOUT BAKERSFIELD-- TOP 32
Bakersfield Life magazine released results of the first round of voting, and I guessed 22 of the 32 winners right. Our final four is still alive... Vote on the next round at www.bakersfieldlife.com.
