DO YOU ORDER DIFFERENTLY WHEN SOMEONE ELSE PAYS?
So... if you go out to dinner with some friends, and I they tell you to order whatever you want... should you? See, if I go out with someone, or a group of people, and they all order $10 meals, and they're paying, I'll order in the same range because doing otherwise would make you look like a jerk, or greedy, or worse, right?

I know they say not to worry about the cost, but does that really give you an excuse to go completely nuts? What do you do?

One listener called in and said she picks a low cost, medium cost, and more expensive item on the menu, and always has the paying person order first. Then, she picks the item closest in price to what they ordered.

Someone else called in and said while she doesn't go nuts, she orders whatever she feels like because when she treats people she honestly wants them to do the same.

And we got a call from a listener who says he tries not to go overboard because doing so may appear like he's taking advantage of the offering party. He says if he wants to look like a jerk in front of someone, he takes care of that in lots of other ways! :)

PAGEANT CONTESTANT RE-ANSWERS QUESTION
The second crack at the question was much easier for Miss South Carolina Teen USA. This time, the question was a little easier for Miss Teen South Carolina.

After being stumped by a Miss Teen USA pageant question on live television Friday night, Lauren Caitlin Upton's confused, mangled response has been drawing a lot of attention.

The 18-year-old got a chance to redeem herself Tuesday on NBC's "Today" show when she was again asked why one-fifth of Americans can't locate the U.S. on a map.

"I would love to re-answer that question," Upton said. "Well personally, my friends and I, we know exactly where the United States is on our map. I don't know anyone else who doesn't. And if the statistics are correct, I believe there should be more emphasis on geography."

That was much better than her previous response, which included "U.S. Americans" and mentions of South Africa and "the Iraq."

A YouTube video of Upton has drawn a couple million hits and thousands of comments, many of them with harsh remarks for the Lexington High School graduate who plans to attend Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C.

Upton was taking her flubbed answer — and the attention — in stride.

"Everything did come at me at once. I was overwhelmed and I made a mistake. Everybody makes a mistake. I'm human," she said Tuesday. "I seriously think I only heard about one or two words of the actual question."

Upton's former principal Creig Tyler remembered her as a well-rounded student.
"She took college-prep and honors courses and performed well," Tyler told The (Columbia) State newspaper.

Miss Teen Colorado Hilary Carol Cruz won the crown. Upton was third runner-up.

DANCING WITH THE STARS... LEAKED CAST?
What do Gisele Bundchen and Wayne Newton have in common? They've both signed on for the next season of Dancing With the Stars. Though the official announcement won't be made until tomorrow, TMZ-dot-com claims to have the inside dope. Along with Leonardo DiCaprio's supermodel ex and the ageless Las Vegas legend, look for Tori Spelling, Aaron Carter, billionaire Mark Cuban, Jane Seymour, Jennie Garth, boxer Floyd Mayweather Junior, original T-V "Hulk" Lou Ferrigno, Nia Peeples, C-N-N reporter Richard Quest, race car driver Helio Castroneves and Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan to bust a move when the reality hit glides back to A-B-C.

NEED A NEW DIET IDEA?
There's a new product out there for people who, for some reason, want to lose all of their delicious chubbiness and get all thin and unattractive. It's called the "Diet Fork". And that's all it is. A plastic fork.

But, according to the people who make the Diet Fork, it's, quote, "the most revolutionary breakthrough in dieting" and is helping to "make dieting fun." They say the Diet Fork works in three different ways:

1) It has SHORTER and DULLER teeth, which keep you from grabbing large amounts of food at one time.

2) Its face is SMALL and TRIANGULAR, which makes it hold less food than other forks.

3) And its handle is UNCOMFORTABLE to hold, so you HAVE to put it down between bites.

All of those things SLOW down your eating... which IS a good way to eat less and, in theory, maybe, lose some weight. The forks are made of plastic, and run you $8.95 for a 10-pack.
